Time is running out! 👶🏽👦🏽👳🏽‍♂️👴🏽⚰️

“I’ll do it tomorrow…”
“I’ll do it next year…”
“I’ll do it when I’m older…”

“I wish I did it earlier…”

In these saloks (stanzas), Guru Ji reminds us that death is overtaking us. Meditate! Whilst you still can…

Saloks 3 & 4 of Salok Mehalla 9:

tarnaapo io hee geo leeo jaraa tan jeet |
Your youth has passed away like this, and old age has overtaken your body.

kahu naanak bhaj har manaa audh jaat hai beet |3|
Says Nanak, meditate on Vaheguru; your life is fleeting away!

biradh bheo soojai nehee kaal pahoochio aan |
You have become old, and you do not understand that death is overtaking you.

kahu naanak nar baavre kio na bhajai bhagvaan |4|
Says Nanak, you are insane! Why do you not meditate on Vaheguru (God)?

This video is part of the Salok Mehalla 9 Series:
Salok Mehalla 9 is a collection of stanzas written by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji (Ninth Sikh Guru) and is well known to be hard hitting, a wake up call and sheds some reality on life. Many Gursikhs (Sikhs of the Guru) recite this Bani (prayer) as part of their Nitnem (Daily Sikh Prayers). Each episode in the series is 25-30 minutes, and Baljit Singh explains each Salok (stanza) in detail, using real life examples to give the Salok context.
