Today is World Sikh Environment Day!
This great initiative by the environmental organisation Eco Sikh is designed to pay tribute to Guru Har Rai Ji, the seventh Guru of the Sikhs who built wild life sanctuaries in Punjab and developed parks and gardens with medicinal herbs, flowering plants and fruits.
On this day and during this week, thousands of Sikhs across the world will participate by doing something environmentally conscious, from cleaning parks in California to planting trees in Chandigarh and lots more.
Check out this video where our own Baljit Singh speaks with members of the Eco Sikh team to find out more about World Sikh Environment Day and more.
